FUYUNGHAI / Chinese Style Crab and Prawns Omelette
Ingredients:
5 eggs, beaten
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp chicken powder
1/2 onion, diced finely
1 can of crab meat
1/2 carrot, grated
prawns
2 spring onion, chopped finely
Oil for frying
Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
1 garlic, minced
4-5 tbsp HEINZ tomato sauce
salt & pepper
a handful baby green peas
lemon juice, as needed
sugar, as needed
Water
Method for crab and prawns omelette:
Mix beaten eggs with all ingredients.
Heat pan, add oil, once oil is hot, add mixture, fry until both side cooked & golden.
Set aside.
Method for sauce:
Heat butter, add garlic, once fragrant, add tomato sauce,
lemon juice, salt and pepper, water, sugar.
Mix well, taste if you need more tomato sauce or lemon juice.
Bring it to boil, add baby green peas, bring to boil again. Then ready to serve.
Just pour sauce on top of crab & prawns omelette.
Ready to serve with Cap Cay / Saute mix veggies and steamed rice.
I personally like the sauce to be sweet and sour.
In Chinese restaurants here, they call it egg foo young. I haven't found a good egg foo young like Fu Yung Hai that I used to have in Indonesia.
