Prawns Fried Noodles with "Kokita fried noodles paste"

(Mie Goreng Udang "bumbu mie goreng Kokita")


Ingredients:

5 garlic, chopped finely

3-4 large red onion, chopped finely

220 grams (1 package) Hokkien shelf fresh noodles (brand "Kan Tong") you buy this at Woolworths.

Prawns

Cabbage, chopped finely

3 eggs, beaten well

1-2 tbsp Sweet soya sauce

2-4 spring onions, chopped finely*

1 carrot, cubed

Pepper

Oil & butter

*Mix 1/2 of finely chopped spring onion with beaten well eggs & 1/2 tsp salt



Directions:

1. Heat oil & butter, sautee garlic & red onion until fragrant.

2. Add cabbage, sautee until half cooked.

3. Add eggs, mix well until cooked.

4. Add noodles & spring onion.

5. Add sweet soya sauce & pepper.

6. Mix well until cooked.


Serving suggestions: slices of tomatoes & cucumber, or carrots & cucumber pickle, with prawns crackers, chilli sauce and tomato sauce.
