Spring Roll in Rice Paper
This is my new 'invention', something different. Usually spring roll should be wrapped in spring roll paper. But I made spring roll wrapped in Vietnamese rice paper.
Spring Roll in Vietnamese Rice Paper
Ingredients:
Vietnamese Rice Paper
1-2 garlic, chopped finely
1 egg, beaten well
2-3 minced turkey (you can use more or use minced chicken)
Vermicelli, pour hot water in vermicelli, simmer for few minutes, drain, set aside.
5 long Beans (Buncis), chop finely
1 carrots, cut small cube
1 hard tofu, cut small cube
1 spring onion, chop finely
1 maggie block chicken
salt, as desired / if needed
pepper, as needed
Direction:
1. Heat oil, sautee garlic until fragrant.
2. Add minced & carrot, sautee until cooked.
3. Add long beans, tofu & egg, sautee until cooked.
4. Add maggie block, salt & pepper.
5. The last, add spring onion. Mix all together.
6. Prepare Vietnamese rice paper by following the instruction at the back of the package.
7. Take 1 spoon of the above mix, put in the Vietnamese rice paper and fold like folding envelope.
Serving suggestion:
- with peanut butter sauce, or
- soya sauce & sambal ABC
Peanut butter sauce:
1 tbsp smooth peanut butter sauce
Hot water, as needed
1-2 red chilli paddy, chop finely
white vinegar, as needed / as desired
salt, as needed / as desired
Mix all together.
