Sambal Balado


Sambal Balado
Balado Chilli from West Sumatera Island, Indonesia


Ingredient:
10 shalots, sliced thinly
15 red chillis, blend roughly in a blender
4 lime leaves
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp salt
4 tbsp oil

Method:
In a hot pan, add oil.
Add shallots and chilli until fragrant.
Add lime leaves and salt, mix well.
Cook until soften, add lemon juice.
Switch off stove.
Ready to serve with petai (smelly beans), steamed eggplants, boiled eggs.
